Lost Community - BSLBT webclip & Screening at Elim Church Bristol Deaf Club

Lost Community is an emotional documentary film which highlights the closure of Bristol Deaf Club, it features contributions from Deaf OAPS and club members who share stories of their experience as they reminisce over past times. It has been commissioned by BSLBT via their 7 minutes clip scheme and will soon be available to view on the BSLBT website.

VS1 and Dr Mike Gulliver, from the History department at the University of Bristol, are planning a special screening event of this film at the Elim Church on 14th May. This will also include the pilot interactive Deaf Bristol Map and highlight an example of a Deaf Bristolian's past stories. It is hoped that this will encourage other local deaf people to also tell their stories to the camera.
